Adare Manor Golf Club 1900-2000 A Centurial Record

Categories: , ,

Originally founded by the 4th Earl of Dunraven as a private course on his estate it should not be confused with its neighbour the  Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Resort which came into being almost a century later.

Bernard Darwin played the course in 1907 and described his visit in the Evening Standard and St. James’s Gazette, a London paper and in his book ‘Tee Shots’  which was published in 1911.

Ben Sayers was the original course architect and Eddie Hackett was engaged for the 18-hole course layout in 1964.
