Dermot Gilleece and John Redmond, two of Ireland’s most acclaimed golfing scribes, combined to create a richly illustrated narrative that captures the essence of women’s golf in Ireland over a century.
Published in 1993, it serves as a testament to the rich history and contributions of the Irish Ladies Golf Union to golf. The book is a limited edition which features Mrs Patricia Nutting (nee Jameson) the Irish Ladies Close champion from 1926 on the dust jacket. The Jameson family owned the lands where Portmarnock Golf Club and the Jameson Golf Links now reside and their house is on the latter. Patricia Jameson passed away in 2006 at the ripe old age of 102 years old.
