Massereene Golf Club 1895-1995

Established in 1895, Massereene Golf Club boasts a rich history intertwined with the picturesque landscapes of Northern Ireland. Originally a nine-hole course, it underwent a significant transformation in 1964 when renowned golf course architect Fred Hawtree redesigned it into an 18-hole layout.

Massereene offers a challenging and rewarding golfing experience. The course is primarily parkland, with the back nine transitioning into a more links-style layout along the shores of Lough Neagh. The signature hole is undoubtedly the par-5 seventh, which tumbles dramatically downhill towards the water. Massereene hosted the Girls Amateur Championship in 2014 won by Miss A. Pasarin and the Irish PGA Championship in 1970 which was won by Hugh Jackson. In 2021, the club co-hosted the ISPS Handa World Invitational, elevating its profile on the international stage.
