Omagh Golf Club 1910-1985 Celebrating 75 years of Golf in Omagh

Omagh Golf Club was founded on 24 February 1910 following a meeting in September 1909 in the Omagh Courthouse. The club began as a nine-hole course designed by G.L. Bailie on lands owned by Capt. Auchinleck, a founding member, who would eventually be a casualty of WWI. In 1983, it was expanded to an 18-hole course under the design of Don Patterson. The club has grown significantly since then, hosting numerous Golfing Union of Ireland (GUI) events and boasting a vibrant youth section.
The course is an 18-hole parkland course known for its demanding par fours and fast-paced greens. The club is a member-owned organization, with a committee overseeing its operations. The most notable player from the club was Heather Colhoun.
