Charles Price, a remarkable figure in the world of golf writing, left an indelible mark on the sport. Born in 1925, Price was not only a prolific writer but also a literary historian of golf.

He wrote for a fledgling Golf World and was the founding editor of Golf Magazine. In the early 1980s, he joined Golf Digest, where he authored a monthly column that stood out as literature in sports writing at the time.

Price authored or co-authored a total of 17 books. His most renowned work is The World of Golf, a definitive encyclopedia of the game. This book is universally regarded as one of golf’s all-time classics.
