The History of the Castle Golf Club Jubilee Year 1913-1963

The booklet is a condensed version of the first fifty year history of the Castle Golf Club which took its name from Rathfarnham Castle which was built around 1600AD by Adam Loftus, Lord Chancellor of Ireland, Archbishop of Dublin and the first Provost of Trinity College. The Castle changed many times during its storied history but now is in the  hands of the State and was declared a National Monument. During the Great War the Castle Golf Club opened the course to members of the Royal Dublin G.C. whose course had been taken over by the War Department and was being used as a rifle range.
